Great tasting food and service to match. I wish they would open up a food truck or restaurant nearer to my house. I'd be there everyday! Love it

Best customer service. We have been coming to this place for last 7 years. We are traveling from Dallas to Houston to eat their Beef Bihari, Shrimp Fried rice and Chicken Tikka Boti. Everything is so delicious and tge place upgraded recently. Really recommend this place

I was really unhappy when my fiancé brought us here after our last experience but as soon as he opened the doors, I was just blown away! I asked him if we were at the same place! I think they have new owners, because the entire restaurant has been remodeled and everything looks sparkling clean and fancy! I was very happy and we were sat in a section far away from anyone else which was nice since it felt safer. Before, everyone was kinda piled on top of each other so the new layout is so nice and spacious. The food was even better than I remembered and I'm glad we gave it a second shot!

This review has been a long time coming. We've eaten at Royal for very many years and the food has always been consistently good as well as the service. Some dishes/items we recommend are Paneer tikka masala, mixed vegetables, Dal fry, and the Rumali roti. Yelp really needs to fix the fact that theres no landscape mode for typing reviews on a mobile device. Typing in portrait mode is both cumbersome and frustrating. Choosing Royal for a meal is a no brainer.

This is literally the place my family goes for every Desi occurrence. Someone's birthday? Let's get chicken tikka legs and nun. Someone accomplished something? Order Goat biriyani to pick up. Someone got sick? Call in the chicken corn soup. The most favorite dishes are- Palak Paneer- my favorite in Houston. And that's saying a lot given the number of Indian restaurant we have in Houston.

When you walk in, it feels like it's 1990 again. They haven't updated this place since then I think. The table covers aren't very clean. It may be better to take it to go LOL Most importantly though, the food is Out. Of. This. World. We ordered the paneer tikka masala, lamb chops (they say goat but it's actually lamb) and daal fry. All delicious!

I am completely addicted to their Chicken Boneless Masala. I may be their only regular that's not Pakistani or Indian, and everyone that works there definitely knows me now. I think I've gone at least once a week for the past 3 months. I've dined in, but I prefer to get my order to-go because it seriously seems like I get more that way. Great portions, as I can eat quite a bit but I always have at least two meals when I get the Chicken Boneless Masala, naan, and plain rice. I remember one of the first times I came here with a group of friends, and we ordered loads of stuff to try and I loved everything! Excellent mango lassis and tea. Also, I love the staff, they're very friendly! Why only four stars instead of five? Two reasons: They're a little skimpy on the meat. There have have been a few times when I was a bit perturbed when I began eating my order at home, as it just seemed like there should be more chicken in the Chicken Masala. Another con is how much less I felt like I got when I dined in after a long stretch of getting it to-go. Honestly, one of my favorite places in Houston. I will definitely keep going back, probably once (or twice) per week!
